Welcome to Ejigbo Local Government
The history of Ejigbo Local Government dates back to March 1954 when it was called district council. Its headquarters is in Ejigbo. The local government is surrounded by major towns in Osun and Oyo States. It is 33 kilometres away from Ogbomoso and 24 kilometres away from Ede. Ejigbo itself is 36 kilometres away from Osogbo, the Osun State Capital. It is surrounded by Surulere and Ogo Oluwa Local Governments in Oyo State and Olaoluwa, Orelu and Egbedore Local Governments in Osun State. It sits on a land area of 502 square kilometers with a fairly undulating terrain. It has an altitude of 1200 feet above sea level with rocky areas. Rivers, mountains, valleys and a lot of natural features add to the beauty of the Local Government.
